Growth Groups

“To make disciples of Jesus Christ for God’s Glory.”

One of the ministries we believe we can utilize to further accomplish our mission of making disciples is our adult Sunday school ministry – Growth Groups (link).  In doing so we have created three classes that have been divided by stages of life.  By that we mean the following:

Class # 1 – led by Jonathan Reish

This class will consist of the following people:

  • Singles in their 20s, 30s, and 40s.
  • Married couples without children in their 20s, 30s, and 40s.
  • Married couples of any age with children elementary age (Kindergarten through high school / college) and below.

Current study:  Philippians: Christ, The Source of Joy and Strength by John MacArthur
John MacArthur takes readers through the book of Philippians, exploring Paul’s teachings on the dangers of self-sufficiency and complacency.

Class # 2 – led by Stan Schneider

This class will consist of the following people:

  • Singles in their 50s and up.
  • Married couples without children in their 50s and up.
  • Married couples with children but now are empty nesters.

Current study:  Philippians: Christ, The Source of Joy and Strength by John MacArthur
John MacArthur takes readers through the book of Philippians, exploring Paul’s teachings on the dangers of self-sufficiency and complacency.

Class # 3 – led by Scott Behm

This class will consist of the following people:

  • Specifically targeted for singles of any age.

Current study:  Ephesians: Our Immeasurable Blessings In Christ by John MacArthur
John MacArthur takes readers through the book of Ephesians, exploring Paul’s teachings on our continual need for God’s help and the blessings we have received in Christ.

Class # 4 – led by Pastor Brad / Pastor Brandon

This class will consist of the following people:

  • Those involved in discipleship at ABC.  A 48 week commitment working toward developing a counseling ministry to our community at ABC.
  • Begins March 5, 2017.
  • LAUNCH – Biblical Counseling Training – The Biblical Counseling Center helps churches care for people by equipping them to do the work of
    discipling and counseling for its people, by its people based solely on the sufficiency of Scripture.

 

 

The content in each class will contain a solid biblical emphasis as well as address some of the issues that each stage of life is facing in today’s culture.
