When the innocent are set free after years of incarceration we cheer that justice has been served. But in the case of Jesus, we cheer because the innocent wasn’t free. No, as believers we cheer instead that the innocent One was willing to be declared guilty so that we could go free through faith in His sacrifice. May our hearts and minds wrestle with and rejoice in this truth.
