“To make disciples of Jesus Christ for God’s Glory.”
Women of Grace
…Exists for the purpose of helping women fulfill the mission statement of Aboite Baptist Church. In addition we desire to help women seek after God, finding their complete satisfaction and freedom in Him…therefore bearing fruit and sharing their faith with one another, becoming instruments of His grace.
Meet the Women of Grace team:
Elizabeth Bower – Hi, I’m Liz. I accepted Christ as my personal Savior when I was a young child. My personal walk with the Lord did not develop more until my late teens. In 2003 I married Brandon, we have 3 children (Braydon, Sawyer and Isabelle). I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past 8 ½ years, homeschooling for the past 4 years. I recently accepted the part-time position as the promotional secretary at Aboite. We began attending Aboite the summer of 2011. God has continued to use the circumstances and people in my life to draw me closer to Him and deepen my relationship with Him. I am in awe of the grace that He lavishes on us. I look forward to coming along side women and helping them grow in their walk with Him.
Lesa Coplen – Hi, my name is Lesa Coplen. I have been a member of ABC since moving to Fort Wayne in 1996. Jim and I have been married 30+ years and are the parents of 2 children (Jay and Jennifer) and added our daughter-in-law (Anna Grace) a few years ago. I came to know the Lord as my Savior in my teens, but did not earnestly seek to know and follow Him until my mid-twenties. One of the gifts He has given me is that of encouragement. With the various opportunities the Lord has given me over the years including being a stay-at-home-mom, working part-time and full-time, becoming an empty-nester, and moving to new areas for my husband’s job, I look forward to using that gift to encourage the women of ABC in whatever stage they find themselves.
Amy McGuire – Hello! I have been attending ABC since 2000 when Paul and I moved to Fort Wayne from Indianapolis. We have been married for 18 years and have 4 children (Lauren, Abby, Lindsay, Luke). I began following Christ in high school after several years of running from Him. My relationship with the Lord has continued to grow since then and He has done many works of transformation in my life. I have been a stay-at-home mom for fourteen years and before that I worked in the accounting field for four years. I look forward to helping women in the church grow and be strengthened in their relationship with the Lord.
Regina Ricketts – Hello, my name is Regina. I am the oldest representative on the Women’s Ministries board. I accepted Christ’s gift of salvation on May 1, 1983 and have been attending Aboite Baptist Church since shortly after moving to the Fort Wayne area in June 2012. A widow for almost 8 years, I am the mother of two, a daughter and a son, and grandmother of 10, 8 girls and 2 boys. Being saved after 12 years of marriage, I understand the heartache of being in a mixed marriage. My front line ministry is prayer. If I can serve you in any way at all, please let me know. I would especially appreciate the opportunity to pray more specifically for you.
Our women’s ministry regularly offers opportunities to grow in faith through bible studies, fellowship gatherings, outreach and other activities.
