Planning Your Visit

As you prepare to visit ABC, we encourage you to read the following.  It is our desire to equip you with  answers to some of the questions you have prior to your visit.  Below you will find out what to expect during a regular Sunday morning.  We look forward to seeing you!

Welcome Center
We ask that you begin your visit by stopping at our Welcome Center, (located to the right of our main entrance).  Here you will find friendly greeters waiting to assist you.  They are eager to connect you with people and point you in the right direction.  In addition they will provide you with a welcome bag containing information about ABC as well as a small gift, our way of saying thank you for visiting.  We ask that you take a few minutes to fill out a visitor form, allowing us the opportunity to know you a little more.

Sunday School / ABC University begin @ 9:30 a.m.

During the Sunday school hour Nursery is offered to infants through children 2 years of age.  Children 3 years of age through High school are divided into age appropriate Sunday school classes.  At ABC we take great responsibility in caring for His children.  Offering care for all ages, your child(ren) will be exposed to the love of Christ through warm and tenderhearted caregivers, as well as solid biblical teaching.

ABC University, our adult Sunday school ministry is designed to better equip individuals by offering solid biblical teaching through a variety of elective classes.

Worship Service begins @ 10:45 a.m.
Our Worship service begins with a corporate time of worshiping God through song. Johann Sebastian Bach stated, “The aim and final reason of all music is none else but the glory of God and the refreshment of the spirit.” Our primary goal of worshiping through music is to glorify God and edify and minister to the saints who worship with us. As we gather to offer worship through song, prayer and thanksgiving, we are expressing our love for God and our desire to live completely for Him. Our Worship time is composed of a blend of contemporary and traditional music, grounded in solid, biblical teaching.

“And He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear, and will trust in the Lord” Psalm 40:3.

Following our time of worship through music, you will hear God’s Word taught from the Scriptures.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17

Here at ABC God’s Word is at the core of what we teach. We believe it is a perfect treasure of divine instruction, applicable in all aspects of life. On Sunday mornings you will hear a sermon grounded in God’s Word. An outline will be given, (found in the bulletin) for you to follow along with and take additional notes for personal application.

During the Worship service:
Nursery is offered to infants through children 1 year of age.
2 year and 3 year old children can be dropped off in the Nursery; they then will be escorted by their teacher to a   special class designed specifically for them.
Children 4 years of age through Kindergarten can participate in the beginning phase of Children’s Church.
Children in First grade through Second grade are encouraged to join their family for the Worship part of the service.  An announcement will be made prior to the expository teaching time for those children to be dismissed to Children’s church.  They will be escorted by a Children’s church helper.
-Children in 3rd grade and up are to remain in the service.

What should I wear?

A common question prior to visiting a church is, “What should I wear?”.  At ABC, we focus on the heart more than the outward appearance. When you come to worship with us, you will find people dressed in a wide variety of styles; from casual to dress; meaning jeans to more formal such as suits and dresses. However, most people find themselves somewhere in the middle–most often wearing dressy casual.

We do ask that people wear clothing that does not draw attention to themselves. We think that what you wear to church should not detract from the worship experience of others around you. We want all of the attention to go to Jesus Christ.  To God be the glory!
